Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) and its graduate arm, Lagos Business School (LBS), have concluded a two-week season of academic celebrations, culminating in the graduation of 436 executives from LBS on December 13, 2025.
The executive graduation followed PAU’s 22nd convocation ceremonies held the previous weekend, where 266 undergraduate and 236 postgraduate students across the university’s schools were awarded degrees.
The LBS ceremony, held at the Honeywell Auditorium on the school’s Lagos campus, marked the completion of seven flagship Executive Education programmes: the Global CEO Africa Programme (GCEO-A), Chief Executive Programme (CEP), Advanced Management Programme (AMP), Owner-Manager Programme (OMP), Senior Manager Programme (SMP), Agribusiness Management Programme (AgMP), and the Management Acceleration Programme (MAP).
The graduating executives, drawn from sectors such as finance, technology, manufacturing, healthcare and agribusiness, also represented several African countries. LBS said the programmes are designed to equip participants with the skills and ethical grounding needed to drive innovation and sustainable growth in complex business environments.
Speaking at the event, Olayinka David-West, professor and dean of Lagos Business School, said the institution remains committed to developing leaders who combine professional competence with strong values.
“Africa’s future will be shaped by leaders who unite strategy with stewardship, competence with character, and empathy with results,” she said, noting that ethics, sustainability and good governance are embedded across all LBS programmes.
The keynote address was delivered by Kofo Akinkugbe, founder and chief executive of SecureID Group and an alumna of the LBS Chief Executive Programme. She urged graduates to embrace values-driven leadership, stressing that ethical leadership often requires exceeding local regulatory expectations and aligning with global best practices.
Earlier convocation activities celebrated academic excellence across PAU’s schools, including the School of Media and Communication, School of Science and Technology, School of Management and Social Sciences, and Lagos Business School. Dumebi Valerie Duru emerged as the overall best graduating student with a perfect 5.0 CGPA.
In her address to graduates, PAU Vice-Chancellor Enase Okonedo encouraged them to serve as ambassadors of integrity and professionalism in their careers.
The ceremonies concluded with the induction of new graduates into the Pan-Atlantic University and Lagos Business School alumni associations. Welcoming the executive graduates, Valentine Okelu, vice president of the LBS Alumni Association and CEO of Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals, urged them to leverage the school’s global alumni network for collaboration, impact and lifelong learning.
