Zinox Technologies, a Nigerian ICT company, has partnered with KongaCares to launch an ambitious new corporate social responsibility program called “Computerize Nigeria.” The initiative, which was unveiled today at the GITEX Nigeria event, aims to provide interest-free computers to at least one million Nigerians, with a focus on students in higher education.
The program is designed to address key challenges facing digital education in Nigeria. Each package includes more than just a computer; it also comes with a customized inverter solution to tackle power issues and a Starlink satellite internet connection. This holistic approach ensures that students receive a complete and functional digital ecosystem, enabling them to study and work effectively.
An Open Invitation to Stakeholders
Zinox is extending an invitation to all levels of government, alumni associations, NGOs, and individuals to join the initiative. The company emphasizes that the program is a unique opportunity for stakeholders to contribute directly to Nigeria’s digital future and to see the measurable impact of their support through quarterly donor reports.
This initiative comes at a time when digital literacy is crucial for economic growth. By providing students with modern computing skills and reliable internet access, the program aims to prepare them for an increasingly digital global market.
The “Computerize Nigeria” initiative also features a flexible payment plan that removes financial barriers for institutions. The interest-free structure demonstrates Zinox’s commitment to social impact over profit. The company believes that by democratizing access to technology, it can ensure that a student’s digital future is not determined by their economic circumstances.
