Emirates Airlines and Air Peace have activated a bilateral interline agreement aimed at expanding air connectivity between Africa, the United Arab Emirates and major international destinations.
Under the agreement, passengers of both airlines can now enjoy single-ticket travel, seamless connections and simplified baggage handling on select routes, enhancing travel convenience and comfort.
In a joint statement, the airlines said the expanded partnership builds on their existing relationship and widens connectivity beyond the 13 Nigerian cities already accessible to Emirates passengers through Air Peace’s domestic network.
The enhanced agreement now allows travellers to connect to Banjul (The Gambia) and Dakar (Senegal) via Abidjan, as well as Freetown (Sierra Leone) and Monrovia (Liberia) through Accra. These additional gateways, the airlines noted, give more passengers access to Emirates’ global network and premium services.
The partnership also enables Air Peace to link its extensive West and Central African route network directly to Emirates’ Dubai hub, offering onward connections to key destinations including London Heathrow, London Gatwick and London Stansted, alongside major African cities such as Accra and Abidjan.
“With strong demand for travel between Nigeria and the UK, this agreement provides Air Peace passengers with more flight options and greater flexibility,” the statement said.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the strengthened partnership would deepen the airline’s footprint in Africa while supporting tourism and trade.
“Enhancing our interline partnership with Air Peace allows us to expand across more of Africa and create new opportunities for customers to fly better with Emirates, while supporting Nigeria’s aviation, tourism and trade sectors,” Kazim said.
Nowel Ngala, Air Peace’s Chief Commercial Officer, described the deal as a strategic milestone for the Nigerian carrier.
“By combining our regional strength with Emirates’ global reach, we are delivering seamless connections, shorter travel times and improved end-to-end travel experiences for our passengers,” Ngala said.
