The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) is deploying an Artificial Intelligence (AI) agent to clear a backlog of 7,000 company registration applications. The new AI tool is expected to speed up services and improve efficiency.

During a stakeholders’ forum in Kano, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, CAC Registrar-General acknowledged that the recent transition to an AI-driven registration portal has faced issues, leading to a large number of pending applications. He explained that the new AI agent will handle various requests across customer service, compliance, and the registry. Additionally, the tool will manage the over 3,000 daily emails the Commission receives, helping to sort and route them for faster resolution.

Magaji assured stakeholders that the identified problems with the new system are being addressed to ensure customer satisfaction.
