Bimbo Ademoye’s latest romantic comedy, Where Love Lives, has recorded a major digital milestone, crossing 6 million views on YouTube within 72 hours of release.

Analytics from Ademoye’s YouTube channel, Bimbo Ademoye TV, show the film debuted with 2.5 million views on its first day and climbed to 6,041,086 views by December 27, just three days after its December 24, 2025, release.

Produced by Bimbo Ademoye in partnership with A3 Studios, the film stars Uzor Arukwe, Chioma Nwosu, and Osas Ighodaro. It tells the story of a couple navigating love, status, and hidden tensions within one of Lagos’ most exclusive estates.

The strong early performance has exceeded industry expectations and reinforces growing audience demand for digital-first Nollywood releases. With over 1.3 million subscribers, Ademoye now runs one of the largest producer-led Nollywood channels on YouTube.

The film’s rapid rise puts it ahead of recent digital hits such as Omoni Oboli’s Love In Every Word, which reached 4.3 million views in its first 72 hours earlier this year.

Industry watchers say the success highlights Nollywood’s expanding YouTube blockbuster economy, driven by star-powered channels, micro-studio collaborations, and audience-friendly romantic comedies. In 2025 alone, several Nigerian titles have crossed multi-million-view marks, positioning YouTube as a strong alternative to cinemas, especially for viewers outside major cities or priced out of theatres.

The achievement also underscores Ademoye’s evolution from actor to producer-creator. Having built a career across film, television, and box office hits, she is now part of a growing wave of Nollywood filmmakers adopting direct-to-audience distribution, prioritising content ownership, global reach, and long-term monetisation of intellectual property.
