President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Leo Stan Ekeh, Founder and Chairman of Zinox Group, on his 70th birthday, describing him as one of Nigeria’s pioneering innovators in the information technology sector.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised Ekeh’s contributions to Nigeria’s manufacturing and technology ecosystem.
Tinubu recalled the 2001 launch of the Zinox range of indigenous computer products, calling it a groundbreaking moment for local technology production.
At the time, Tinubu was the Governor of Lagos State and hosted Ekeh to a private dinner ahead of the launch event at Eko Hotel, Lagos. The event, attended by top government officials and industry leaders, was widely regarded as a landmark in Nigeria’s tech industry.
The President commended Ekeh for promoting the Nigerian brand, driving indigenous technology manufacturing, and creating opportunities for young Nigerians.
Ekeh currently leads Zinox Group, which includes Zinox Technologies, TD Africa, Konga, Task Systems, and TD Mobile, companies operating across technology manufacturing, distribution, and e-commerce.
Tinubu wished the entrepreneur good health and many more years of impactful achievements as he marks his platinum jubilee.
