Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State Governor, has appointed Temitope George as the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission (LASERC), subject to confirmation by the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The appointment was disclosed in a memo signed by the Head of Service, Bode Agoro, which stated that George’s tenure will commence upon legislative confirmation.

According to the memo, the Governor approved her nomination to lead the Commission as part of efforts to strengthen electricity regulation and governance in the state.

George is currently the Lead Partner for Energy, Infrastructure, and Policy Counsel at Adegbola-George & Co. She brings over two decades of experience in legal, regulatory, and governance advisory, with a strong track record in energy, infrastructure, construction, and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects.

Her professional background includes advising governments, multinational companies, and development institutions, as well as leading the structuring of large-scale infrastructure projects, securing regulatory approvals, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and ensuring compliance with local and international governance standards.

Her appointment is expected to further bolster Lagos State’s electricity reform agenda and regulatory oversight in the power sector.
