Telecommunications company ntel has unveiled a new corporate strategy aimed at transforming the business into an integrated digital infrastructure, connectivity and real estate company.
The strategy, branded “The Next Frontier,” marks a significant shift in the company’s business model as it seeks to diversify revenue streams, strengthen its telecommunications operations and unlock value from its infrastructure and property assets.
Speaking at the launch, Soji Maurice-Diya, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NatCom Development & Investment Limited (ntel), described the initiative as more than a corporate restructuring exercise.
According to him, the strategy reflects the company’s commitment to building an ecosystem that enhances connectivity, promotes digital inclusion, supports businesses and delivers long-term economic value.“The Next Frontier is far more than a business transformation strategy. It represents our commitment to building an integrated ecosystem that connects people, empowers businesses, drives digital inclusion and creates sustainable economic value for Nigeria,” Maurice-Diya said.
The new roadmap is built around ntel’s BET Agenda, which comprises three strategic pillars:
- Beam – Digital connectivity solutions
- Eden – Real estate development
- Titan Telecommunications infrastructure
Maurice-Diya said the company has, over the past year, strengthened stakeholder engagement, restructured its operations, pursued strategic partnerships with mobile network operators (MNOs) and held constructive discussions with creditors as part of efforts to reposition the business.
He added that ntel is also working towards regaining its spectrum assets while leveraging partnerships to drive innovation and future growth.
Under the Beam pillar, ntel unveiled two new products aimed at expanding its connectivity offerings.
The first is WakaGo, a global eSIM solution designed to provide seamless mobile connectivity for international travellers.
The company also introduced AirFibre, a high-speed fixed wireless broadband service targeted at businesses seeking reliable internet connectivity.
Through the Titan platform, ntel plans to strengthen its infrastructure business by expanding services in:
- Telecommunications tower development
- Fibre-optic connectivity
- Duct infrastructure
- Colocation services
- Infrastructure sharing
The company said the initiative will enable telecom operators, enterprises and technology providers to deploy networks more efficiently while reducing infrastructure costs.
A major highlight of the strategy is Eden, ntel’s real estate development platform, which aims to transform the company’s extensive property portfolio into commercial and residential developments.
As part of the initiative, the company unveiled three flagship projects:
- Eden Place – A premium commercial development in Lagos’ central business district.
- Nova Place – A commercial complex located in Port Harcourt’s emerging technology and business hub.
- Terenna Court – A premium residential apartment development in Abuja.
According to the company, the projects are designed to unlock long-term value from its real estate assets through strategic partnerships and modern property development.
