The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos State Chapter, has announced a strategic collaboration with the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) aimed at strengthening professional development, ethical communication and capacity building within Nigeria’s organised private sector.

The framework for the partnership was established during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the NIPR Lagos Chapter, led by Samuel Ayetutu, PhD, fnipr, its Chairman, to the President and Leye Kupoluyi, Chairman of Council of LCCI.

The collaboration will focus on organising specialised training programmes, workshops and professional engagements designed to enhance the communication competencies of entrepreneurs, corporate executives, business leaders and communication professionals across various sectors of the economy.

Welcoming the initiative, Engr. Kupoluyi reaffirmed the commitment of the LCCI to strategic partnerships capable of improving the competitiveness and sustainability of businesses operating in Nigeria. He noted that effective public relations and strategic communication remain critical to promoting trade, investment opportunities, stakeholder trust and corporate reputation in today’s dynamic business environment.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Ayetutu described communication as a strategic asset for organisational growth and sustainability.

“Effective communication is no longer a peripheral function, but a critical driver of business growth, reputation management and stakeholder engagement in today’s dynamic economic landscape. By synergising the expertise of public relations professionals with the robust network of the organised private sector, we are actively equipping businesses with the strategic communication tools necessary to navigate complex markets, build enduring trust and attract sustainable investments,” he stated.

The meeting also featured discussions on future collaborative initiatives aimed at promoting ethical communication standards, strengthening institutional relationships and deepening knowledge-sharing between communication professionals and the business community.

Members of the NIPR Lagos delegation included:
•Mr. Samuel O. Adeyemi, General Secretary;
