…Appointments Signal a New Phase of Growth and Impact for Nigeria’s Premier Community of Female PR Professionals

Nigerian Women in PR, the Nigeria country hub of the Public Relations Women Foundation (PRWF), has announced the appointment of its first non-founder executive leadership team. The five appointments mark a significant milestone in the organisation’s evolution from a founder-led community to a fully institutionalised professional body with distributed leadership capacity.

The appointments take effect immediately and each executive will serve a two-year tenure through March 2028.

The Appointed Executives

Adaoha Njemanze – President Adaoha Njemanze is the Founder of NOVVA media and Communications. She assumes the role of President, providing strategic oversight and direction for the organisation’s next phase of growth.

Omotoyosi Ajayi – Vice President and Programs Director Omotoyosi Ajayi is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stage Africa Media and Advisory. In her dual role, she will oversee the organisation’s programming strategy and support executive leadership across all initiatives.

Ufuoma Oritsebinone – Partnership and Advocacy Coordinator Ufuoma Oritsebinone is the Assistant Chief Information Officer, Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa. She brings public sector expertise and institutional networks to drive partnerships and advance the organisation’s advocacy agenda.

Fatihah Ayinde – Communications and Events Coordinator Fatihah Ayinde is the Founder of Flagscale PR & Communications. She will lead the organisation’s communications strategy and oversee the planning and delivery of its events calendar.

Edose Eromosele – Membership and Community Engagement Coordinator Edose Eromosele is a Corporate Communications Executive at Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company. She will drive membership growth and deepen engagement across the Nigerian Women in PR community.

A Deliberate and Inclusive Leadership Structure

The composition of the executive team reflects a deliberate commitment to inclusive, distributed leadership. The team spans agency and client-side practice, as well as private and public sector experience. This is a structure designed to ensure that the organisation’s growth serves the full breadth of its membership and maximises its impact across the Nigerian communications profession.

The appointments followed months of deliberation, assessment, and careful consideration of each individual’s sustained involvement with the community.

Statement from the Founder

Tolulope Olorundero, Founder and outgoing executive lead of Nigerian Women in PR and Chair of the Board of Trustees of PRWF, said:

“It is a privilege to transition leadership to a team that I am confident will build on our foundation and exceed the impact we have achieved to date. Succession planning and impact sustainability are central to how we think about this organisation – and with these appointments, we demonstrate that PR can be an example of how transitions are managed well, and how organisations can thrive beyond their founding generation. Nigerian Women in PR has always been bigger than any one person. Today, that becomes fully visible.”

The newly appointed President stated, “I have always been a strong advocate for Nigerian women in public relations, driven by a deep admiration for their remarkable work across the industry. While we must continue to amplify the value of public relations, it is equally important that we remain actively engaged in shaping its future. I am excited about the vision and leadership this executive team brings, and the opportunity to drive meaningful change, strengthen collaboration, and elevate professional standards.”

Nigerian Women in PR was established in 2019. Since its founding, the organisation has reached over 12,000 professional women, delivered 15+ PR Students Summits across tertiary institutions in Nigeria, and pioneered the first reverse mentorship programme in the global PR, and published two editions of the Experiencing PR Book which documents the professional life and career insights of 18 Nigerian women practicing PR in across the world.

The appointment of a non-founder executive leadership team represents the organisation’s formal transition into its next phase; one defined by expanded capacity, broader reach, and deepened impact across the Nigerian and African communications profession.
