Nestle, Checkers, Golden Penny, Others Win Big at 2024 Mediacom Award

Leading brands including Nestle Nigeria, Checkers Custard, and Golden Penny Spaghetti have been recognized for their outstanding contributions to their respective industries at the prestigious Mediacom Awards 2024. Organised by MediaConsortium, the awards celebrate excellence in media, innovation, and brand impact across various sectors.

Nestle Nigeria, one of Africa’s largest food and beverage companies, received the Transformational Impact Award for its remarkable contributions to the Nigerian economy and consumer market. Checkers Custard, a leader in the African custard market, claimed the Custard Brand of the Year title. Golden Penny Spaghetti was awarded Pasta Brand of the Year, further cementing its reputation as a household favourite.

LG Electronics was honoured as the CSR Company of the Year, highlighting its efforts to drive corporate social responsibility initiatives that positively affect communities.

Fearless Energy Drink was recognized as the Energy Drink Brand of the Year. Indomie Noodles, another well-known brand, won the Consumer Friendly Brand of the Year Award for its dedication to meeting consumer needs.

Beyond products, the awards also highlighted key players in media and public relations. Integrated Indigo Limited was named Outstanding PR Agency of the Year, and Interaction Channel took home the award for Outstanding Agency in Out-of-Home Measurement. Oracle Experience Limited won Experiential Marketing Agency of the Year for its innovative work in marketing campaigns.

In individual categories, Daniel Obi was honoured as Brand Journalist of the Year for his impactful storytelling in the media industry. Victor Gbenga Afolabi was recognized for his Outstanding Contribution to SME Growth Through Technology, demonstrating his commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises.

Nigerian Breweries earned the Sustainability Company of the Year award for its dedication to environmental sustainability, while Without-A-Box was recognized as the Future Leader in Perception Management, showcasing the next generation of leadership in media.

In his remarks, Adetunji Faleye, Co-convener, Mediacom Awards praised the winners for their exceptional contributions. “This year’s winners represent the best in their fields. They have set high standards for excellence, innovation, and responsibility. We are proud to honour their achievements and celebrate the positive impact they’ve made on their industries and communities.”
