Dr Samuel Ayetutu, PhD, fnipr, Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos State Chapter, has called on members of the Chapter to intensify preparations for active participation in the forthcoming Nigerian Public Relations Week 2026, scheduled to commence on April 19, 2026, in Kaduna State.
The annual gathering, themed “CROC CITY 2026,” will bring together public relations professionals, scholars, policymakers and industry stakeholders from across Nigeria for a week of knowledge exchange, networking and professional development.
In a statement issued in Lagos, Dr. Ayetutu emphasised the importance of strong representation from the Lagos State Chapter, popularly regarded as the “Premier Chapter” of the Institute. He urged members to utilise the remaining days leading up to the event to finalise travel arrangements and other logistics to ensure a robust presence at the conference.
According to him, “The Nigerian Public Relations Week remains one of the most significant platforms for advancing professional excellence, fostering industry collaboration and shaping the future of public relations practice in Nigeria. As the Premier Chapter, it is imperative that Lagos State is visibly and actively represented.”
Dr. Ayetutu further encouraged members who are yet to complete their registration to do so without delay, noting that participation in the conference should be seen as a strategic investment in their professional growth and relevance in an evolving communication landscape.
He added that beyond networking opportunities, the event offers participants access to cutting-edge insights, emerging trends and best practices that are essential for navigating the dynamic field of public relations.
The Lagos State Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to excellence and urged all members to seize the opportunity presented by the conference to enhance their knowledge, expand professional networks and contribute meaningfully to the development of the public relations profession in Nigeria.
The statement was signed by Oguchukwu Okeke, PhD, the Lagos State Chapter’s Public Relations Officer.
