The Lagos State Government has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Federal Government’s plan to begin a six-week repair project on the Adeniji Adele Interchange–CMS corridor starting Sunday, October 12, 2025.

The repairs, handled by the Federal Ministry of Works, will run daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and are scheduled to conclude on November 23, 2025.

To minimise disruption on this busy route, the work will be phased: only one lane will be closed at a time, with the remaining lanes open to traffic.

Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, Commissioner for Transportation, stated that traffic management officers will be deployed to guide drivers and ensure compliance with all diversion signs. He asked for commuters’ patience, noting that the temporary closures are necessary to improve road quality and enhance safety along the corridor.
