Youths in Lagos took to the streets on Thursday to protest persistent electricity shortages affecting parts of the state. Marching along major roads, the demonstrators carried placards and chanted slogans such as, “Give us light, we are not asking for too much,” expressing frustration over the prolonged power outage.

Protesters highlighted that the ongoing electricity disruptions have disrupted daily activities and negatively impacted small businesses, calling on the Lagos State Government to urgently restore stable power supply. As of reporting, authorities had not issued an official response to the protest.
