“I am pleased and grateful that The Coca-Cola Foundation is partnering with us at Orange Corners Nigeria(OCN) to support Nigerian youth with the skills, resources and support that they need to thrive as an entrepreneur. The youth are enthusiastic and aware of their aspirations, yet there exists a crucial void that requires filling, which is training and support. This is precisely what OCN is providing. I am very impressed with the energy and innovation of Nigerian youth and you deserve our support” Michiel van der Pompe, The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said.
At the ceremony, some of the current OCN cohort incubatees and alumni members had the opportunity to speak about their businesses, and the positive impact that the OCN program has had on them and their businesses, and the challenges that they are experiencing as aspiring entrepreneurs.
In his remark, Saadia Madsbjerg, President of The Coca-Cola Foundation stated, “We firmly believe in the power of innovation and entrepreneurship to drive meaningful economic growth. Our grant to the Orange Corners Nigeria program is an affirmation of this belief and our commitment to fostering youth entrepreneurship in Nigeria. By investing in the nurturing of young, enterprising minds, we are confident that we are catalyzing a ripple effect of prosperity that will extend far beyond individuals to whole communities and the Nigerian economy at large”.
