Cadbury Nigeria Plc has announced a revenue of N83.35billion for the first half of the year, following the approval of the Company’s unaudited financial statements by its Board of Directors. This represents an increase of 8 per cent over the N77.25billion revenue that the Company posted in the same period in 2025.

The Company’s gross profit grew by 10 per cent from N21.86billion reported in the first half of 2025, to N24.12billion in the period under review. Cadbury Nigeria also reported a profit of N8.10billion in H1 2026, which translates to a 20 per cent decrease compared to the N10.17billion reported in H1 2025.

Speaking on the result, Ayman Fahmy Gaafar, Managing Director, Cadbury Nigeria, said the Company continued to navigate headwinds as operating cost remained high due to increased cost of freight, among others. He added that slow consumer demand impacted on profitability in the first six months of the year. However, he said favourable foreign exchange rate reduced net finance cost by 89 per cent from N1.74billion in H1 2025 to N187million in the period under review.

Ayman said: “Despite these challenges, Cadbury Nigeria remains committed to delivering value to its stakeholders and will continue to drive business fundamentals, while increasing its Go-to-Market (GTM) capabilities.”

Cadbury Nigeria had announced the appointment of a new Managing Director in May this year to spearhead the company’s business operations and accelerate market expansion across the West Africa region. The new MD, Ayman, has worked for several companies, including Procter & Gamble, where he rose to Commercial Vice President Nigeria, delivering strong double-digit growth.

He has a strong track record of setting up operations, transforming distribution models, and scaling businesses across complex multi-market environments. With deep expertise in GTM transformation, capability building, and organisational culture, he has also driven step-change results across both food and non-food categories — from quadrupling direct distribution coverage in Egypt to building high-performing teams across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. His appointment reflects Mondelēz International’s continued commitment to strengthening its presence and leadership in key markets across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The statement was issued by Frederick Mordi, the Company’s Head of Corporate Communications and Government Affairs.
