BrandXchange, organiser of the Consumers Value Awards, a prestigious platform that recognizes and celebrates value brands across various sectors, is delighted to announce the launch of its official website for the nomination of brands for the third edition of the awards.

The website, www.consumersvalueawards.com is open from 1st February 2024 till 10th March 2024.
Over the past two editions, more than 50 outstanding brands have been conferred with Badge of Honours, representing excellence in their respective industries.

The Consumers Value Awards aims to empower consumers by giving them a voice in recognizing brands that go above and beyond to meet their expectations. The theme for this year’s edition is “Empowering Consumers,” reflecting BrandXchange’s commitment to championing consumer rights and fostering a culture of excellence in product development.

In a groundbreaking move, BrandXchange, the organizers of Consumers Value Awards bestowed the title of Consumer Rights Advocate Governor of the Year 2023 on Babajide Sanwo Olu, Lagos State Governor during the previous edition.

This recognition highlights the governor’s exceptional efforts in promoting and protecting consumer rights within the state.
Governor Sanwo Olu, represented by the duo of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperative and Information and Strategy commended BrandXchange for putting together an event of such significance as an initiative geared towards protecting the interests of consumers through advocacy and raising awareness on consumer rights in his speech delivered by Mrs. Adetutu Oluremi Ososanya, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperative

Akonte Ekine, founder of BrandXchange and Convener of Consumers Value Awards, shared insights into the inspiration behind this year’s theme. “Attending the 2023 edition of the Consumer International Congress in Nairobi was a transformative experience. It became clear that consumers need avenues for expression and opportunities to contribute to product development, especially in addressing issues like healthy feeding. This realization fueled our commitment to empowering consumers through the Consumers Value Awards.”

Consumers are expected to exercise their consumer rights by nominating brands that have kept promises based on claims made.

It is a national campaign towards ensuring that the consumer is appropriately recognized in the marketplace place Ekine concluded.
