Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has recorded another major digital milestone after her latest romantic movie, My 30th Wedding, surpassed 10 million views on YouTube within about 48 hours of its release.

The movie, which premiered on October 1, 2026, on Bimbo Ademoye TV, had reached 10,739,487 views by the early hours of October 4, underscoring the growing appetite for Nigerian films distributed directly through YouTube.

My 30th Wedding stars Ademoye alongside Timini Egbuson and follows an ambitious event planner navigating career pressures, family expectations and questions around marriage.

The story takes a turn when a demanding client hires her for a high-stakes memorial project, prompting her to reassess her assumptions about work, relationships and the people around her.

The film’s latest milestone came after an exceptionally fast start. It crossed one million views within its first three hours and subsequently added more than nine million views to exceed the 10 million mark.

The performance also highlights the expanding reach of Bimbo Ademoye TV, which had about 1.82 million subscribers as of October 2026.

The channel has become a major distribution platform for Ademoye’s original productions, allowing her to take her films directly to a large online audience.

My 30th Wedding extends a pattern of strong digital performances by Ademoye’s productions.

In December 2025, her romantic comedy Where Love Lives recorded 6.04 million views within 72 hours, after attracting 2.5 million views on its first day. By January 2026, the film had surpassed 16 million views.

Another Ademoye production, Broken Hallelujah, which premiered in April 2025, had accumulated more than 11.2 million views by January 2026.

Mirrors and Reflections also crossed 5.3 million views in less than 72 hours in April 2026 before reaching 7.1 million views within four days.

Ademoye’s YouTube audience has expanded alongside the success of her films. Her channel had about 1.14 million subscribers in August 2025, rising to approximately 1.3 million by December and 1.39 million by January 2026.

Its current 1.82 million subscribers represent an increase of roughly 680,000 from the August 2025 figure.

Ademoye’s digital success builds on an established cinema career that includes several commercially successful Nollywood productions.

She featured in Sugar Rush, the 2019 action comedy starring Adesua Etomi and Bisola Aiyeola, before appearing alongside Timini Egbuson in Reel Love in 2025.

Reel Love opened with N40.5 million on Valentine’s Day and generated about N99 million during its opening weekend. It crossed N200 million within three weeks and eventually ended its theatrical run at approximately N356.8 million.

Ademoye also starred in Gingerrr alongside Bisola Aiyeola, Kiekie and Bolaji Ogunmola. The action comedy opened with N82.8 million and reached N435.5 million after six weeks in Nigerian cinemas.

Her wider filmography includes Anikulapo, which further expanded her profile across African audiences, and Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre, for which she received a Best Lead Actress nomination at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.

The rapid performance of My 30th Wedding reinforces the growing importance of YouTube as a distribution and audience-building platform for Nollywood filmmakers, particularly those able to build direct relationships with large digital audiences.
