Seven-Up Bottling Company (SBC) has released its latest annual sustainability report, themed “Making a Clear Difference,” reaffirming its commitment to responsible business practices, environmental sustainability, and community development across Nigeria.

The report, anchored on the pillars of People, Planet and Progress, provides a detailed account of SBC’s performance over the past financial year. It outlines achievements in environmental management, social impact, and corporate governance, while highlighting ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into the company’s core operations.

Speaking on the development, Sari El-Khalil, Managing Director, said the report reflects the company’s long-term strategy of driving growth responsibly.

“Our sustainability report captures our deliberate efforts to operate responsibly while creating meaningful impact. Sustainable growth is essential not only for our business but also for the communities we serve,” he said.

Key highlights of the report include progress in water stewardship, improved waste management systems, and expanded community engagement initiatives. The company also reported continued investments in sustainable production processes aimed at reducing environmental footprint.

SBC noted that it remains focused on employee well-being, ethical business conduct, and strategic partnerships that deliver long-term value.

Also speaking, Nkemdirim Agboti, Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs, emphasised that sustainability is deeply embedded in the company’s operations.

“Sustainability is not a standalone initiative for us, it shapes how we make decisions daily. This report reflects both our progress and our commitment to continuous improvement,” she said.

The report was developed through extensive collaboration across multiple departments, involving data collection, stakeholder engagement, and rigorous review processes to ensure transparency and accuracy.

Lovelyn Okoye, Head of Sustainability, said the company is focused on translating sustainability goals into tangible outcomes.

“We are investing in solutions that improve lives, from access to clean water to waste reduction, employee welfare, and stronger community partnerships. Our goal is to ensure business success goes hand-in-hand with societal progress,” she said.

The report also underscores SBC’s alignment with global sustainability standards and local regulatory requirements, reinforcing accountability in its operations.

Through partnerships with government agencies, industry players, and host communities, the company said it will continue to scale its impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.

The full sustainability report is available on the company’s website.
