The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has extended the registration deadline for the 2025 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates. The new deadline is now Friday, September 19, 2025.

In a statement on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, WAEC encouraged all prospective candidates to take advantage of the extended window. This exam marks WAEC’s full transition to a computer-based format, a move aimed at modernizing the assessment process and improving its integrity.

This shift follows the hybrid model tested in 2024, and the exam body plans to fully adopt computer-based testing for all its exams by 2026.
