Lagos NIPR Unveils PR Fest 2025 With Focus on Communication, Culture, and Creativity for Urban Food Security

The Lagos Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is proud to announce the official unveiling of PR Fest 2025, a weeklong celebration of communication, creativity, culture, and community engagement.
The unveiling took place at the Chapter’s Monthly Meeting and PR Clinic held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Eko FM Multipurpose Hall, Agidingbi, Ikeja.
PR Fest 2025, scheduled to hold from Friday, August 8 to Thursday, August 14, 2025, will revolve around the theme: “Urban Farming for Food Security: The Role of Communication.”_
The festival will explore how public relations and strategic communication can be harnessed to promote sustainable agriculture, raise awareness on food security, and inspire behavioral change in urban communities.
Key highlights of PR Fest 2025 include:
  • PR Practitioners Hangout & African Night
  • Media Tour of Lagos Tourist Attractions and Documentary on Urban Farming in the State
  • Mentorship Sessions for Students and Young PR Professionals
  • Launch of PR and Leadership Clubs in Higher Institutions in Lagos
  • PR Sports Festival/ Fitness events, featuring Sectoral Competitions
  • Annual General Meeting, Themed Communication Lecture, and Elections
Speaking during the unveiling, Dr. Samuel Ayetutu, fnipr, Chairman of the Lagos Chapter, stated: “This year’s PR Fest takes a bold step to connect communication with one of the most pressing issues in our society, food security. Through this platform, we will not only celebrate the practice of public relations but also advocate for sustainable solutions using the power of storytelling and community engagement.”
Mr. Olabamiji Adeleye, Chairman of the planning committee, calls on stakeholders, corporate sponsors, and partners to be a part of this impactful initiative aimed at shaping narratives, driving collaboration, and promoting a healthier, more food-secure Lagos.
