Coronation Asset Management has launched the Coronation Equity Fund, an open-ended investment scheme aimed at helping investors tap into long-term growth opportunities in the Nigerian stock market.

The offer opened on May 11, amid renewed investor interest in equities following the strong performance of the Nigerian market in 2025.

According to the company, the fund is designed for investors seeking professionally managed exposure to Nigerian listed equities while benefiting from long-term wealth creation strategies.

The launch comes as the NGX All-Share Index recorded a 51.19 per cent year-to-date return in 2025, driven by stronger corporate earnings, macroeconomic reforms, and improving investor confidence.

Speaking on the launch, Aigbovbioise Aig-Imoukhuede said the fund was created for investors focused on sustainable wealth creation.

“Nigeria continues to reward patient, disciplined investors. The Coronation Equity Fund exists for those who are building something that lasts, wealth that compounds over time, guided by rigorous research and active portfolio management,” she said.

The fund will invest at least 70 per cent of its assets in listed Nigerian equities, while retaining the flexibility to hold fixed-income and money market instruments for liquidity management.

According to the company, investment decisions will be driven by a bottom-up stock selection strategy, with each company assessed based on its individual fundamentals rather than sector weightings.

The minimum investment threshold is set at N50,000, while additional subscriptions can be made in multiples of N5,000. The minimum holding period is 180 days.

Investors can subscribe through the Coronation Wealth App, the Coronation Wealth Hub, or by completing physical subscription forms at Coronation Plaza in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The fund is custodied by Access Bank Plc and held in trust by Paxhill Minerva Limited under the regulatory oversight of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Coronation Asset Management said the new fund forms part of its broader suite of investment products and portfolio management services aimed at helping investors navigate the market with discipline, research-driven insights, and a long-term investment approach.
