The Ogun State Government has inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility owned by Summit Household Solutions Limited in Ota, in a move expected to deepen local production capacity and enhance hygiene standards across Nigeria.
The facility, which commenced operations in April 2025, is dedicated to the production of home and personal care products such as dishwashing liquids, handwash, sanitisers and multipurpose liquid soaps, with an estimated annual output of 7,000 tonnes.
Summit Household Solutions Limited, a Nigerian FMCG company, produces the popular 2Sure brand and has expanded its portfolio to include Lewar, a premium beauty soap line designed to offer quality yet affordable personal care solutions.
The inauguration was performed on behalf of Governor Dapo Abiodun by Mr Kehinde Akintomide, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Investment.
Akintomide, in his remarks, described the investment as a testament to Ogun State’s attractiveness to investors, noting that the state remains home to over 6,000 manufacturing firms.
He revealed that the facility has created employment for more than 50 Nigerians, with plans to scale up to over 250 jobs as production increases.
According to him, the project aligns with the state’s economic development strategy and supports the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope initiative aimed at strengthening local industries and reducing import dependence.
“This investment further validates Ogun State’s position as the industrial capital of Nigeria. We will continue to strengthen policies that support ease of doing business, attract investments and drive sustainable economic growth,” he said.
Speaking, Mr Sadiq Ali, General Manager of the company, described the factory as a major milestone in the company’s expansion drive.
He noted that 2Sure, the company’s flagship brand, is at the centre of current production, reflecting its commitment to delivering affordable and reliable hygiene solutions at scale.
Ali added that the company is set to roll out a new range of home and personal care products later in the year.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including the Onikotun of Otun, Ota, Oba Abdulakeem Odunaro, who represented the Olota of Ota, Prof. Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege; the Agba Akin of Ota, Chief Dada Olusola; Director of Investment, Ms Yemisi Folarin; Director of Industrial Promotion, Mr Femi Adeboye; former Managing Director of 7Up Bottling Company, Mr Ziad Maalouf; and the Chief Executive Officer of OmniRetail, Mr Deepanker Rustagi, among others.
During the event, Maalouf, who originated the 2Sure concept during his time at 7Up Bottling Company, expressed satisfaction with the brand’s trajectory, commending Summit Solutions Limited for demonstrating strong commitment to its growth and future expansion.
Guests were later taken on a guided tour of the facility, followed by a reception.
