Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-year contract with Arsenal, committing his future to the club until 2031 in a deal that makes him the highest-paid player in the squad.
Sources indicate the agreement is worth more than £300,000 per week, underlining the club’s determination to secure one of its most influential stars through his peak years.
The Key Numbers
- Contract length: 5 years (until 2031)
- Weekly wages: £300,000+
- Age: 24
- 2025/26 season: 7 goals, 6 assists in 33 appearances
- Premier League record: 217 appearances, 57 goals
- England record: 14 goals in 48 caps
Saka’s previous contract, signed in 2023, was due to expire in 2027. Negotiations over improved terms have been ongoing for nearly a year, with the winger verbally agreeing to stay in January.
Since making his first-team debut at 17 in 2018, the academy graduate has developed into one of Arsenal’s most consistent performers. His 217 Premier League appearances leave him 116 short of Ray Parlour’s club record of 333 league games.
By the time his new deal expires in 2031, Saka will have spent 13 years as a professional at the club.
Saka’s renewal follows a series of long-term extensions as Arsenal looks to maintain stability in a title-chasing squad. Over the summer, new deals were also agreed upon with:
- William Saliba
- Gabriel Magalhães
- Ethan Nwaneri
- Myles Lewis-Skelly
The timing is significant. Arsenal are:
- 4 points clear at the top of the Premier League
- Set to face Manchester City in the EFL Cup final in March
- Through to the Champions League knockout stages
- Into the FA Cup fifth round
Internationally, Saka has scored 14 goals in 48 appearances for England and is expected to feature in the World Cup squad this June.
For Arsenal, the message is clear: numbers matter, and they are building around their biggest one.
