Nigeria’s Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee has launched a nationwide training programme for over 11,000 professionals as part of efforts to deepen the understanding and implementation of ongoing tax reforms.

The “Train-the-Trainer Programme for Professionals,” which began on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, will be conducted nationwide, according to ConsumerConnect reports.

Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Committee, said the initiative was initially designed to train 3,000 professionals but recorded an overwhelming response, with 11,137 applications received within two weeks.

“We are grateful to everyone who indicated interest. The response far exceeded our expectations,” Oyedele said.

To accommodate all applicants, the programme will be delivered in three modules, allowing participants to attend Module 1 only, Modules 1 and 2, or all three modules, depending on their needs.

The modules include:

  • Module 1: Tax reform foundations, policy objectives, and key changes
  • Module 2: Technical analysis, in-depth insights, and compliance requirements
  • Module 3: Case studies and practical applications

Oyedele advised participants to watch out for further details and invitations, which will be sent via capacity@fiscalreforms.ng, and to regularly check their inbox and spam folders to avoid missing updates.
