2026 Holy Ghost Fiesta: Rev. Olusola Urges Christians to Hold on to His Promises

“God doesn’t need eternity to do the things that are eternal.”

With this declaration, Rev. Abiodun Olusola of Remnant Christian Network challenged Christians not to lose hope over delayed expectations, urging them to hold on to God’s promises and remain confident in His ability to fulfil them.

Olusola delivered the lead sermon at the 2026 Holy Ghost Fiesta organised by Eternal Kingdom Wealth Ministry, under the theme, “Outing with the Comforter,” with Ecclesiastes 4:1 as the conference scripture.

He emphasised that divine promises do not lose their validity with the passage of time, noting that what God has spoken can still come to pass, even after years of waiting.

“Nothing gets missing in the spirit. The things that God has told you come back to you, even if it has been a while,” he said. He urged worshippers to hold firmly to what God had spoken, revealed or was still revealing to them, rather than allow circumstances or the apparent progress of others to distract them.

Drawing from a Yoruba song he said God brought to his memory, Olusola rendered its message in English: “Come, come quickly and do what you have promised. Everyone around is looking at me, observing my life, observing that I come to your house. I know your promise never fails.”

According to him, God impressed upon him that the song was a message specifically for His people, particularly those who had prayed and waited for the fulfilment of His promises. “For someone here who has prayed and waited, God is bringing to you the things He has promised. Your life is a story that God is still writing,” he declared.

He further advised Christians to concentrate on their individual journeys instead of becoming preoccupied with the circumstances and achievements of others.

Using the biblical account of Hannah, who prayed in anguish for a child and was initially mistaken by Eli the priest for a drunken woman, Olusola highlighted the importance of persistent prayer and bringing one’s petitions before God. He said God’s ability to intervene remained undiminished, adding that prayer provides the spiritual ground for divine intervention.

“God’s hand is not short to help. He wants us to pray,” he said. The sermon concluded with prayers and ministration to worshippers, particularly those trusting God for the fulfilment of long-awaited promises.

Earlier, Pastor Monday Irenoa, the set man of Eternal Kingdom Wealth Ministry, said the Holy Ghost Fiesta had become a significant feature of the ministry’s calendar, with each edition followed by what he described as a massive turnaround in the ministry.

He highlighted the need for Christians to recognise their role in shaping society, particularly through economic participation and transformation. “In this end time, Christians must take their place to transform the economy,” Irenoa said.

We rise by prophecy, he asserted.

He added that success in a competitive environment required more than knowledge, stressing the importance of spiritual empowerment. “When it comes to competition, we don’t drive by knowledge; we progress by power,” he declared.

The 2026 Holy Ghost Fiesta featured preaching, prayer and spiritual ministration, with emphasis on the Holy Spirit’s role in the lives of believers and the importance of holding on to God’s promises.
