My Dearest Bolanle,
On October 20th, you left me. After 40 years of knowing you and 36 years as my wife, you returned to your Creator from cardiac arrest. You would have been 62 on November 1st, 2026. On the 6th of October, I turned 65, and I was on cloud nine. On the 10th of October, our daughter, Omoyemi, signed the dotted line. I was on top of the mountain with a lot of excitement. On the 20th of October, you left us. We were dazed and devastated!
If I were to describe you in three words, it would be loyalty, endurance and resilience.
You were loyalty itself. In good times and in hard times, you stood by me, even when I was like a broom.  You never wavered.
You were endurance. You bore life’s burdens with patience, with quiet strength, with faith that never shook, even when I had little time for you. It was books, books, and more books. You endured it ALL!
You were resilient. No matter what life brought, you rose, you prayed, you kept our home together.
You were a dutiful wife in every sense – respectful, caring, prayerful, and devoted to the end. You made our marriage a blessing and our house a home. Our children were a delight. They have made us proud beyond our wildest imagination.
I was blessed to walk 40 years of life with you. Not many men can boast of that.
Thank you for 36 years of unwavering love. Thank you for being you. We were all dazed and saddened by your departure, but we are thankful for your life, and we cannot question Allah.
May Almighty Allah, whom you served so faithfully, forgive you, illuminate your grave, and admit you into Aljannah Firdaus.
I will love and remember you till my last breath.
Your husband & Children. Signed: Mr Aliyu Suleiman, HND, MBA, FCTI, FCA, MNIM
DATED: 28TH OCTOBER, 2026.
