FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, makers of Peak, Three Crowns, Coast, Olympic and Nunu milk brands, has reaffirmed its commitment to improving customer experience and meeting the changing needs of Nigerian consumers.
The company made the commitment as organisations marked Customer Service Week, themed “The Extra Mile”, which highlights the importance of exceeding customer expectations, listening to feedback and improving service quality.
FrieslandCampina WAMCO said its responsibility extends beyond supplying milk and dairy products to supporting the nutritional needs of Nigerian households.
Odukoya Oluwatobi, the company’s Customer Care Manager, said effective consumer care goes beyond resolving complaints and responding to enquiries to building lasting relationships with customers.
He noted that interactions with consumers provide opportunities for the company to learn, improve its services and respond to changing household needs.
The company marked the week with an event at its head office, where employees reflected on their individual and collective responsibilities in delivering a better consumer experience.
Speaking at the event, Jide Sipe, Group Head, Brand Transformation and Digital Marketing at the Bank of Industry, said going the extra mile was less about how far an organisation went than how much it cared about its customers.
The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration, empathy, responsiveness and accountability in delivering effective customer service.
Maureen Ifada, FrieslandCampina WAMCO’s Marketing Director, urged employees to go beyond meeting consumer expectations by embracing continuous improvement and higher service standards.
She said the company would continue to use consumer feedback and insights to improve its products and services while pursuing its commitment to quality dairy nutrition and healthier communities.
