The Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group) has expanded access to its digital capital market platform, NGX Invest, with the launch of a new WhatsApp subscription channel.
The initiative allows retail and institutional investors to view eligible primary-market offerings, including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Public Offers, and Rights Issues, and complete subscriptions directly through WhatsApp without downloading a separate application.

How WhatsApp Investing Works

To begin the process, investors can message the word “Invest” to the official NGX Invest WhatsApp number, +234 812 731 9521.
  • Seamless Navigation: Users follow automated prompts to browse available offers.
  • Broker Integration: Investors select a registered stockbroker through whom their application is processed, preserving the traditional intermediary structure.
  • Built-in Security: While initiated via a messaging app, transactions are securely routed through NGX Invest’s regulated infrastructure. NGX advises users to interact exclusively with the official number and never share sensitive credentials like passwords or OTPs.

Broadening Market Access

The WhatsApp integration builds on the success of NGX Invest, an SEC-approved e-offering platform that has facilitated more than 23 primary-market transactions and over ₦3 trillion in capital raising since its launch in 2024.
Coming amid high-profile market activities, such as the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO running through October 13, 2026, the move is designed to lower barriers to entry, widen distribution reach for issuers, and drive deeper retail participation in Nigeria’s growing capital market.
