Sunil Taldar, Airtel Africa Group Chief Executive Officer, has commissioned two new premium experience centres in Lagos as Airtel Nigeria accelerates the expansion of its retail network across the country.

The new centres, located at DAT Mall, Sangotedo, and Marina, are part of Airtel Nigeria’s plan to establish 500 premium experience centres nationwide. More than 350 have already been launched.

The expansion is aimed at bringing Airtel’s services closer to customers while providing a more convenient and comprehensive environment for accessing connectivity and digital solutions.

Speaking at the commissioning, Taldar said the investment demonstrates Airtel Africa’s long-term confidence in Nigeria and its commitment to the country’s connectivity infrastructure and economic potential.

“Nigeria is one of the most important markets in the Airtel Africa portfolio, and our commitment to this country is long term. We continue to invest because we believe in the potential of Nigeria, its people and its economy,” he said.

He added that the new experience centres would give customers easier access to Airtel’s products and services as connectivity needs continue to evolve.

The centres offer a range of consumer and enterprise services, including Outdoor Units (ODU), Fibre and Home Broadband solutions. Customers can also subscribe to services, make enquiries, receive after-sales support and resolve service-related issues.

Airtel Nigeria Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dinesh Balsingh, said the expansion complements the company’s investments in network capacity and technology by improving the way customers interact with the brand.

According to Balsingh, quality of service goes beyond network performance to include product quality and the ease with which customers can access assistance.

“These premium experience centres bring those elements together in a more convenient environment and give our customers a better way to engage with Airtel,” he said.

He noted that customers’ needs were increasingly extending beyond traditional mobile services to broadband, Fibre, ODU and enterprise connectivity solutions.

Airtel Nigeria currently operates more than 9,000 exclusive shops across the country, alongside over 350 premium experience centres and more than 73,000 retailers in major towns and cities.

The company said the premium-centre rollout was influenced by customer feedback, with the new retail model designed to improve accessibility, speed and convenience.

The initiative forms part of Airtel Nigeria’s wider customer experience strategy, which also includes digital self-service platforms, AI-powered customer support, nationwide customer forums and continued investment in network expansion.

With the opening of the Sangotedo and Marina centres, Airtel is expanding not only its physical retail footprint but also its efforts to provide faster, more accessible and comprehensive customer service across Nigeria.
